Welcome to WordPath Tutoring
Published on by Bernadette Redmond

Hi, and welcome to WordPath Tutoring! I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Bernadette, and I provide customized, one-on-one instruction in reading, writing, and comprehension for K–12 students . Whether your child is working to build strong foundational skills, navigating dyslexia or another learning difference, or simply needs extra support, I’m here to help them grow with confidence.
Why WordPath?
Every learner is on a path—and sometimes that path winds in unexpected ways. At WordPath Tutoring, I meet students where they are and walk with them at their pace, helping them build core literacy skills and develop a toolkit that fits their unique learning needs. I work with students across a range of learning profiles, including those with:
- Dyslexia
- Dysgraphia
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Working memory and executive function challenges
- Sensory or visual processing differences
- Or students without a formal diagnosis who just need tailored support
My instruction is rooted in structured, multisensory approaches and designed to foster confidence, clarity, and curiosity.
What You’ll Find Here
This Articles section is an extension of the work I do with students and families. I’ll be using it to share insights, practical strategies, and reflections on the topics that frequently arise in tutoring sessions and parent conversations. You can expect upcoming posts on:
- Helping your child find the main idea
- Understanding dyslexia and how to support it at home
- Handwriting readiness and fine motor development
- What executive function looks like in reading and writing
- Tips for building vocabulary and comprehension
- Recognizing early signs of reading struggles
- Making sense of terms like “working memory” or “visual processing”
Whether you’re a parent looking for support, an educator seeking ideas, or someone curious about how students learn, I hope you’ll find something here that helps light the path forward.
